The CBDA management meets NEDC to explore strategic areas of collaboration for regional development.

On Thursday, 22nd May 2025, the leadership of the Chad Basin Development Authority (CBDA), led by Chairman Prof. Abdu Dauda Biu and MD/CEO Alh. Tijjani Musa Tumsah, paid a courtesy visit to the Northeast Development Commission (NEDC) in Maiduguri.

During the meeting at the NEDC Conference Hall, the CBDA delegation met with NEDC’s Managing Director, Alh. Mohammed G. Alkali, to discuss strategic collaboration in key areas such as irrigation development, youth empowerment, and water resource management.

The visit served as a platform to deepen institutional ties and lay the groundwork for joint projects that will address critical challenges in the Northeast and drive inclusive development.

To fast-track collaboration, both institutions agreed to establish a joint committee that will identify immediate areas of intervention where they can work together for maximum impact.
