Governor Zulum visits Alau Dam to inspect ongoing rehabilitation works and assess flood preparedness amidst growing concerns of potential flooding in Maiduguri. OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: ALAU DAM REHABILITATION AND WATER RELEASE
The Chad Basin Development Authority announces that the rehabilitation and upgrading of Alau Dam has commenced following the award of the contract. As part of the dam's operations, the spillway gates have been opened to allow controlled water flow downstream through Lagos Street, Gwange, and Custom bridges into the Jere Bowl.
